Hopefully the batteries will last a long time. There's just no point putting it in there and making it so hard to remove that you risk breaking the pen.
I had to Google a YouTube video and the guy actually popped the spring out trying to remove the tag from his. It would have been nice if there we're instructions because I didn't know if it was supposed to be removed or not and it was really stuck in there. The only annoying thing was the tag inside where the batteries go. Easy to use & works perfectly Great stylus! It really does make all the difference when drawing and writing on a tablet! It's so easy anyone can use it because you literally don't have to do anything except pick it up and start drawing.
